Dividing rational expressions uses the same method as we used for dividing numerical fractions. A rational expression is an expression that is written in the form of x/y where x and y are polynomials and y is not equal to zero.  To divide rational expression, first factorize both the numerator and denominator. Then reciprocate the fraction after the division sign and change the division sign as multiplication sign. Cancel the terms that are same in numerator and denominator.  Reduce the fraction to the simplest form. There is no need to multiply the factors, rewrite the factors in the form as it is.
